Gina Harris, M.S.N., R.N.-B.C.
Clinical Informatics Leader & CNIO
Gina Harris has led as the informatics director for Community Technologies since 2016. Gina has been involved with Epic since 2009, when planning for the first Epic go-live began at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Since this first system go-live, Gina has supported more than 20 deployments, and obtained certification in four Epic applications. In January 2012, as the senior manager, Gina began building the clinical informatics support team and laid the foundation for the current team of clinical informatics specialists. She continued in this role until joining the newly formed Epic Clinical Optimization (E.C.O.) team as manager of specialty clinical informatics in September 2013, leading collaboration with a variety of multidisciplinary teams.
Gina began her career at Providence Alaska Medical Center in 2000 in Anchorage, where she started in labor and delivery as a staff RN, and later became a clinical supervisor in the emergency and perioperative departments. Her broad range of nursing experience encompasses medical-surgical, correctional health, emergency department, perioperative services, and clinical informatics.
A twenty-four year R.N., Gina holds a Masters of Science in nursing and is board-certified in informatics with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
